Texas Daycare Allegedly Hosted Toddler Fight Club After Staff Left Children Unsupervised

A mother discovered her son had been subjected to a terrifying ordeal after picking him up from a Fort Worth daycare center. Heather and Richard Harris filed a $1 million lawsuit against Arka Risinger Educators LLC in Tarrant County District Court, alleging their 4-year-old child was involved in a toddler fight club following the absence of staff at the end of the day in April 2026.

According to the lawsuit, the child suffered bruising and scratches on his arms, post-traumatic headaches, and lasting emotional anxiety. The mother noticed her son crying uncontrollably with injuries when she picked him up from the center. Staff initially told her he had gotten into a fight but she demanded video evidence of the incident.

A state investigation by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s Child-Care Licensing Division cited Arka Montessori daycare for multiple violations related to this event. The lawsuit states: “Their trust was violated when the safe environment they were promised turned into a child fight club.” The family is suing for negligence, gross negligence, and premises liability.

The substitute teacher involved is no longer employed at the center, according to the owners. No criminal charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
