ALADRIAN CHANDLER, a 26-year-old mother from Lake City, South Carolina, was arrested Monday morning after police accused her of having a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old boy in a vehicle while her three children were present.
Lake City Police charged Chandler with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The alleged incident occurred on November 16 according to police reports.
Chandler acknowledged the sexual encounter but denied having intercourse with the boy, stating she believed he was older than he claimed. Police reports indicate the boy told authorities they met while Chandler was delivering food and exchanged phone numbers, beginning text conversations. The alleged incident took place when Chandler’s three children were in the vehicle.
Law enforcement began investigating two days after the incident following a separate report that Chandler had lost a gun from her car. In a written statement provided to police during the investigation, Chandler said the boy took the gun out of her car while she was at a friend’s house discussing their communications.
Florence County Detention Center records show Chandler remains in custody without bond as of Wednesday morning.
