A mother has confessed to committing grisly acts against her daughter and her unborn grandson, according to new court documents. The case has taken an alarming turn as disturbing revelations about illicit family affairs have emerged.
22-year-old Rebecca Park, who was approximately 38 weeks pregnant, went missing on November 4. Her body was discovered in the Manistee National Forest on November 25 — three days after she was due to give birth — with her unborn child no longer alive.
Prosecutors state that Cortney Bartholomew (40), Rebecca’s biological mother who gave up her daughter for adoption as a young child, and Bradly Bartholomew (47), her stepfather, lured Park to their home in Wexford County. The couple allegedly forced her into another vehicle and took her into the woods where they stabbed her and cut the baby out of her womb.
According to court documents, Cortney later confessed that Rebecca was still conscious when she removed the baby. She told her: “Your baby is gonna die.” Bradly claimed the child was not alive at the time of removal.
The affidavit reveals Cortney admitted to having a romantic relationship with Rebecca’s fiancé, Richard Falor (43), who is the father of the unborn child. After Rebecca and Falor broke up, Cortney began an affair with him. She claimed she encouraged Rebecca to leave Falor due to his alleged abuse.
Cortney further stated that Falor had raped her, causing a miscarriage of another pregnancy. Despite reporting this incident to the sheriff’s office, no charges were filed against Falor.
In an admission that has shocked investigators, Cortney reported that Bradly told her he intended to cut the baby out of Rebecca’s womb in front of Falor after conducting an internet search about C-sections. She also claimed that Rebecca’s sister, Kimberly Park (21), had a relationship with Falor and was jealous of Rebecca.
Court documents show Cortney and Bradly have been charged with multiple felony counts, including first-degree premeditated murder, murder, torture, conspiracy to commit torture, assault on a pregnant woman with the intention to cause miscarriage or stillbirth, and removal of a dead body. They were jailed without bond as their court dates are set for January 13, 2026.
