McDonald’s Manager Injured After Customer Throws Scalding Coffee in Michigan

A McDonald’s manager in Buena Vista Township, Michigan, suffered burns after a customer hurled a cup of hot coffee at her during an altercation on Tuesday morning, according to reports. The incident occurred at the 3700 Dixie Highway location, a few miles east of Saginaw.

Witnesses captured video of the confrontation, which included the customer yelling, “Fk you, bh! Catch that hot-a coffee!” as she exited the restaurant. The manager was seen screaming after the scalding liquid struck her body, with footage showing burns to her back and left arm.

Buena Vista Township Police Detective Russ Pahssen confirmed the manager had sustained minor injuries but emphasized the severity of the attack. He shared the video on Facebook, appealing for public assistance in identifying the suspect. Pahssen stated that over 100 tips were received within minutes, leading to the woman’s identification.

Despite this, officers have not located the 48-year-old suspect, who is described as a customer at the time of the incident. Authorities have submitted paperwork to the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office requesting charges for felonious assault.
