Vice President Vance Wants to Ban ‘Six Seven’ – But Kids Have Already Made It Official

Vice President JD Vance has grown frustrated with the viral meme that children chant without any real meaning, jokingly calling for a narrow exception to the First Amendment to ban the numbers forever.

The meme involves simply stating the numbers and performing a hand gesture. Vance explained on social media that his 5-year-old became obsessed after church Bible readings started on page 66-67 of the missal.

Meanwhile, In-N-Out Burger has retired the number 67 from its order system, skipping it when customers receive queue numbers. The chain also banned the number 69 in Los Angeles locations following a surge in children anticipating and filming the call.

Children admit they are intentionally spreading the trend without meaning, but many adults search for an origin story. Dictionary.com named “six seven” its Word of the Year, citing Skrilla’s rap song “Doot Doot (6 7)” as the most modern use. Some speculate the meme originated with NBA player LaMelo Ball, who wears number 67.
