Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D) has signed House Bill 1335, a radical piece of Democratic legislation that will force colleges across the state to moonlight as dispensaries for abortion drugs like mifepristone. The law, sponsored by state Rep. Lorena Garcia—a Democrat who ensured last year that all Coloradan taxpayers contributed to abortion—will take effect on August 1, 2027.
A critic described the bill as “a new effort to continue transforming our sewers into cemeteries.” The Colorado Catholic Conference condemned the legislation, labeling it a “violation of the sanctity of life of preborn children” and urging Governor Polis to consider a veto.
