A 19-year-old transgender-identifying male was discovered dead in the laundry room of an off-campus apartment building near the University of Washington with stabbing wounds. Police stated that the suspect turned himself in to authorities prior to death threats being issued against detransition activist Chloe Cole, who was scheduled to speak at a Turning Point USA event on Sunday.
Cole reported receiving over 200 explicit calls for violence before the event was canceled. In a video statement, she detailed how some individuals online and locally expressed violent intentions, including references to the recent shooting death of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA.
