Florida Man Arrested for Alleged Online Sex with Minors; Law Enforcement Reports Dozens of Victims

A Florida man was arrested for allegedly meeting minors to have sex, and law enforcement officials state there may be dozens of other victims.

Aaron Starbird, 42, was apprehended in a police sting operation conducted in September 2025. During the operation, an undercover officer posed as an underage boy on dating apps. The victim identified Starbird and described their communication method through the platform.

Starbird sent explicit files to the officer, whom he believed to be a minor. Investigators gathered communications spanning several weeks and secured multiple search warrants.

On November 2025, police executed a traffic stop of Starbird’s vehicle, confiscating his cell phone. In interviews, Starbird claimed he attempted to cease contact with online juveniles after discovering their ages.

In December, Starbird was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for numerous charges. By February, the state charged him with one count of solicitation of a minor via computer and 12 additional counts related to child sex abuse material.
