School Bus Driver Anthony Federline Charged in Death of Homeschooled Girl After Alleged Sexual Assault

Enfield Police have charged Anthony Federline with sexual assault in the first degree and risk of injury to a child following the death of 12-year-old Eve Rogers.

Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive female at a home on Elm Street in Enfield on March 18 at approximately 10:25 a.m., according to police. Rogers, who was being homeschooled and had been withdrawn from public school in 2022 after fourth grade, was declared dead by authorities.

Rogers’ mother stated she went to wake her daughter and found her deceased. “It’s terrifying still to this day,” the mother said, adding, “I’m glad he’s gone and won’t be driving kids anymore.”

Police obtained a search warrant and conducted an investigation at the home for multiple hours before arresting Federline on Thursday. Parents have expressed outrage that Federline had been driving a school bus prior to his arrest.
