Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) has not made a public appearance since her home was raided by Homeland Security Investigations on Monday for an investigation into alleged immigration fraud.
A Fox News Digital reporter received a sharp rebuke from Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, when asked about her whereabouts following the raid. The reporter challenged Mynett regarding rumors that Omar fled the country after the incident.
“When my wife came here at 12 years old as a child war refugee,” Mynett told Fox News Digital on Tuesday, “there are no concerns.”
Mynett was seen walking their dog Teddy Wednesday but refused to answer questions about the allegations. When pressed by the reporter whether Omar left the country, he responded: “You guys are annoying the hell out of all the neighbors around here, man.”
Omar previously accused President Donald Trump on social media of abusing his office to target political opponents with baseless lies and smear campaigns. She wrote: “This is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement.”
The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, confirmed her office is investigating allegations of financial malfeasance related to Omar’s disclosures.
