The corporate media are once again lining up to harangue Chick-fil-A fans, implying they are homophobic for eating chicken sandwiches.
This effort follows the first broadcast interview with Andrew Cathy, Chick-fil-A’s CEO, in which he discussed how his Christian faith guides the mission of the company.
“They’re welcome to come eat with us. We’d love to give them a great-tasting sandwich and give them great hospitality,” Cathy stated.
“It is our anchor, in the sense of what our corporate purpose states: that we’re in business to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that’s entrusted to us and have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A,” Cathy added.
The interview took place with Craig Melvin of “Today” and was described as cordial. However, the conversation has inspired headlines claiming newly outraged critics of the company.
Melvin specifically asked Cathy to respond to LGBTQ-identifying individuals who have boycotted the Christian company’s chicken sandwiches over gender, sexuality, and marriage issues.
