World No. 1 Sabalenka States Trans Athletes Have “Biological Advantage” in Women’s Events

In an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Aryna Sabalenka, the world’s top-ranked women’s tennis player, stated that transgender athletes possess a significant biological advantage over women and that it is unfair for women to compete against them.

Sabalenka said: “I feel like they still got huge advantage over the woman… I think it’s just not fair to a woman to basically face, like, biologically man.”

The discussion followed criticism from Ukrainian player Marta Kostyuk, who has previously claimed that Sabalenka is physically stronger and taller due to higher testosterone levels. Sabalenka dismissed these claims, noting: “It’s actually quite funny because she’s a strong girl… She probably has more muscles than I do.”

The segment also referenced the Lawn Tennis Association’s December 2024 ruling that excluded transgender women from top-tier women’s tournaments, citing that the “average man” has a biological advantage over the “average woman.”

Nick Kyrgios, who appeared with Sabalenka on the show, stated he had “nothing to add” when asked about the issue.
