A 30-year-old woman from St. John, Indiana, has been charged with first-degree murder for the deaths of Jacob Lambert, 32, his mother Stacy Forde, 54, and stepfather Patrick Forde, 55.
The killings occurred late last month in suburban Chicago after Jenna Strouble allegedly pulled over Lambert near Sauk Village, Illinois to give him a “surprise massage” using what prosecutors described as a massage gun. During the session, she reportedly retrieved a concealed handgun, shot Lambert in the head, and then returned to his home to shoot both Forde’s parents multiple times.
Strouble and Lambert began dating in 2020 and had an occasional intimate relationship despite not living together with her children. The couple shared two children: a 4-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son.
According to court documents, Strouple did not provide a clear motive for the killings beyond expressing displeasure with how Lambert spoke to her children and claiming she felt his parents were overbearing. She also alleged she didn’t like that Lambert showered with toddlers, took naps with children, or that his mother was “snarky.”
Investigators found Strouple has a history of suicidal tendencies and depression, including an incident where she allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from a window with her children. She also admitted to considering killing her parents due to concerns about her children’s safety.
A Glock 19 handgun with a silencer was discovered at Strouble’s home in Indiana after the shootings, and a vehicle registered to Lambert was found nearby. Her court date has been postponed.
