A 17-year-old Florida male, identified as Dominique Santonio Hill of Lake City, has been arrested and charged with tampering with evidence related to the murder of his 16-year-old girlfriend, Ashia La Shai Moore.
Police reported that Moore was found dead in a friend’s apartment from an apparent gunshot wound following a well-being check. She was seven months pregnant at the time of her death.
Hill is currently being held without bond at the Columbia County Detention Facility.
Gigi Reighns, a close family friend of Moore, stated: “We lost not only Shia, but an innocent baby who never even got the chance to see the world. The pain of losing them is something I don’t think words can ever truly explain.”
