On December 3, 2025, Vickrum Digwa, a Sikh man armed with a knife, fatally stabbed Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old Englishman, in Portswood, England. In his final moments, officers from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary handcuffed Nowak while he lay bleeding and struggled to breathe.
The British public became aware of the police’s actions following Digwa’s murder trial last month and the release of bodycam footage documenting Nowak’s mistreatment. A full transcript released by the Crown Prosecution Service this week, alongside additional bodycam evidence, has revealed how officers treated Nowak as a racist criminal despite his critical condition.
Nowak reportedly told officers: “I’m pushing on a fking stab wound.”
