Spencer Pratt’s Viral Campaign Ad Contrasts Incumbent’s Luxury with Charred Home

LA mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt is leveraging social media and emotionally charged messaging to challenge the city’s deep-blue political landscape.

Since his January campaign announcement, Pratt has gained momentum and now polls second behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass (D). His campaign focuses on restoring Los Angeles after damage from the Palisades fires of 2025.

Two weeks ago, Pratt released a viral campaign ad featuring the hit song “Not Like Us.” The video displays the untouched properties of Mayor Bass and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, followed by charred ruins where Pratt’s home once stood and his current trailer.

Conservative analysts have noted that Pratt’s approach—using assertive language and emotional storytelling—differs from past Republican leaders like George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, and Mike Pence, who were often characterized as passive in their communication styles.
