President Donald Trump has shared a video highlighting a poll that reveals he is more admired by Republicans than Ronald Reagan or Abraham Lincoln. The survey found 53% of Republican respondents ranked Trump above both Reagan and Lincoln in historical presidential admiration.
In the video posted to his Truth Social account, Trump referenced Harry Enten’s comments that “Trump’s still the sun around which the GOP revolves.” Enten also noted that Trump-endorsed candidates have won all Senate races in 2026, exemplified by Darline Graham Nordone’s victory in a South Carolina runoff after receiving Trump’s endorsement.
A separate Elon University poll indicated that 29% of Republicans consider Trump the best president in history compared to 25% for Lincoln and 14% for George Washington. Additionally, Enten highlighted an increase in support for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani among Democrats, who now hold the highest net favorability surpassing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).
The analysis also noted that many recent polls indicate the president’s favorability has declined following a prolonged military operation in Iran and associated economic challenges.
