A former employee of Great America Technologies Inc. claims the company shut down after television host Sara Gonzales’ investigation into alleged fraud exposed illegal practices.
According to the former employee, Gonzales’ inquiry caused founder Nagarjuna Reddy Sakam to become so shaken that he announced his decision to close operations and instructed employees to leave within days. The employee stated that Sakam told colleagues: “You have to leave our company within the next couple of days. I am going to shut down my company.” When asked about Sakam’s actions, the former employee added: “If he has not done any wrong, why should he do that decision?”
Great America Technologies Inc., a Texas-based company with an active right to transact business in Texas, was formed in April 2017 and received two Paycheck Protection Program loans during the pandemic that were later forgiven. The company describes itself on its website as “a Global Management Consulting, Technology Services and Business Process Outsourcing Company” with headquarters in Plano, Texas.
Gonzales previously reported that the company was initially formed with officers from Andhra Pradesh, India. It moved to Razor Boulevard allegedly in 2019, and by 2024, the previous owners removed themselves as directors, listing Sakam as shareholder and director. When Gonzales visited Sakam at his home, he denied employing the number of H-1B workers listed in U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ database and accused her of “creating nonsense.”
The former employee revealed that Sakam allegedly failed to pay at least one H-1B worker his salary and had instructed him to cover USCIS filing fees and attorney’s fees, which is illegal under federal law. The employee described the company as: “These people are taking the advantage and they are sucking the blood from their employees.”
The former employee also claimed that Sakam revoked his H-1B visa and threatened to report him to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The company did not respond to requests for comment.
