A viral video has captured Democratic congressional candidate Kirill Basin, 40, confronting beachgoers at Keawakapu Beach in South Kihei, Hawaii, before being knocked unconscious by an MMA-trained man after allegedly threatening to put a woman in the hospital.
According to Hawaii News Now, the altercation began when a 61-year-old man asked Basin to lower the volume of his music. Basin then allegedly threatened the man by implying he possessed a firearm and would shoot the victim’s wife.
The video shows Basin yelling, “I told him if he wants to go to the hospital, come here!” After someone reportedly said, “It’s over,” Basin abruptly screamed, “Hey, fk you! Fk you!” A man urged Basin to stop, but Basin retorted, “What are you gonna do?”
The incident has drawn widespread attention following its online dissemination.
