Texas Substitute Teacher and Boyfriend Indicted on Combined 39 Child Sexual Assault Charges

Madison Paige Jones, 30, was indicted on 19 criminal charges, including 13 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, four counts of indecency with a child by exposure, one count of indecency with a child sexual contact, and one count of possession with intent to promote child pornography.

Zackery Dondlinger, 37, was indicted on 20 criminal charges, including 13 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, three counts of indecency with a child by exposure, two counts of indecency with a child sexual contact, one count of sexual performance by a child, and one count of possession with intent to promote child pornography.

According to court records, Jones and Dondlinger are being held at the Wayne McCollum Detention Center in Waxahachie. Their combined bonds total nearly $9 million — $5 million for Dondlinger and $3,840,000 for Jones.

Jones had previously worked as a substitute teacher with the Midlothian Independent School District. The district stated she was terminated immediately following her arrest. KFDA-TV reported Jones had served as a substitute four times in 2025 at Heritage High School and Baxter Elementary School.

The school district emphasized there is no indication the child sexual assault charges are linked to her role as a substitute teacher. Preliminary findings show none of the alleged misconduct occurred on Midlothian ISD campuses or during school-sanctioned events.

Midlothian Police Department officials said they were dispatched to investigate a report of potential sexual assault involving a child on December 17. KFDA reported officers visited the home of a woman who identified herself as a friend of Jones, who told authorities she had concerns about Dondlinger’s behavior toward a 5-year-old child at Jones’ residence.

Jones confessed to sending videos of the alleged sexual acts to Dondlinger via Snapchat to satisfy his requests. Court documents indicate Dondlinger corroborated her account in an intercepted message.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Jones is accused of possessing over 500 visual depictions of child pornography. KVII-TV stated the alleged abuse involved one purported victim between December 5 and December 17.

Jones was arrested on December 19, while Dondlinger was apprehended on December 23 at an oil rig site near Odessa. Police seized an iPhone and iPad from Jones and two iPhones from Dondlinger during the investigation.
