Cummings quipped, “I just mean, like, who doesn’t think kids are hot? I’m voting for that person!” The exchange occurred as the panel critiqued second lady Usha Vance’s comments about her and Vice President JD Vance not always agreeing on political topics.
Joy Behar initially misinterpreted Cummings’ remark as a criticism of Republicans. Cummings clarified she was a lifelong progressive who had previously criticized the Democratic Party for nominating Kamala Harris in January 2026, lambasted liberal hypocrisy with Joe Rogan, and mocked the Los Angeles Fire Department’s hiring practices.
The segment received laughter and applause from the audience before going viral online after an edited clip was shared widely on social media.
