Wisconsin Police Use Drones to Arrest ‘Serial Defecator’ in City Park

A viral Facebook post from Stoughton Police Department announced the successful investigation of a local “serial defecator.”

Wisconsin police tracked down a 46-year-old woman after she was identified through trail cameras and a drone.

The police department revealed that on February 5, the drone captured video of the woman in a city park. In the video released online, an officer reassured her that their interaction would not be broadcast on television.

The police wrote in all caps: “SPD USES DRONE TO ARREST SERIAL DEFECATOR IN CITY PARK.”

An extensive investigation established a defecation pattern early in the morning at the park using trail cameras and drones. This led to an officer confronting the woman about her illicit public lavatorial activities.

According to police, after multiple reports of residents finding human feces and used toilet paper in the city park, Stoughton Police Department used trail cameras and a drone to identify and cite the person responsible.
