19-Year-Old Substitute Teacher Arrested for Threats at Loudoun County High School

Police were alerted about an alleged online threat through the Safe2Talk app, leading to the arrest of Hadyn Dollery, a 19-year-old substitute teacher from Chantilly, on Monday.

According to a press release from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Dollery made threats of violence against John Champe High School.

Dollery was born biologically male but identifies as a transgender woman. The sheriff’s office confirmed he was booked as a male.

Police stated that Dollery was taken into custody outside school grounds after being tipped off by the Safe2Talk app. He has been charged with making threats of bodily injury and is currently held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond. Authorities did not indicate any students or staff at the school were under immediate threat.

Dollery was a non-licensed substitute teacher, and he has been removed from the available substitute list by Loudoun County Public Schools.

The Loudoun County School District has been the scene of numerous controversies, including the punishment of a student for asking why a biological girl who identified as male was allowed in the male locker room. In 2021, a 15-year-old boy wearing a skirt was accused of sexually assaulting a girl in an empty classroom at an LCPS school and had previously been charged with assault.
